Is it possible? Did I actually read the following sentence in the ACCME's initial response to the Senate Finance Committee?"Alternate funding models will be considered, (eg., pooled funding, limits, sources) including discussions on the value, or impact, of no commercial support."
Yes, it's definitely there on page two of the letter, which was posted on the ACCME website late Friday (read it here). Granted, this is only one of several courses of action being considered, but the fact that the possibility is being seriously debated is most heartening.

Yeah, I wouldn't get too excited just yet. Call me pessimistic, but I'm betting throwing that in as an option was just for window dressing.
Cl Psych, I wish I disagreed with you. You're certainly right, and the actual outcome will end up being the bare minimum required to get the Senate (temporarily) off their back.
